Browse the five musicals and picture your cast in the story. Use the sample production profiles to explore possibilities, then ask us to confirm the practical requirements.
Ask for a reading copy.
Email the title you are considering and a little about your organization. We will confirm what evaluation materials are available and any conditions attached to them. Reading access is not performance permission.
Email for your licensing contract.
Send your production details to info@varietyplus.org. Ask for a written agreement and quote for the exact show, venue, dates, and performances you want to license.
Include these details
- Your name, organization, and reply email
- The musical you want to produce
- Venue, location, and seating capacity
- Proposed dates and number of performances
- Ticket prices, including any free performances
- Expected cast size and materials needed
- Any recording, livestreaming, or on-demand plans
Review, agree, and arrange payment.
Read the quote and contract, confirm what is included, and ask questions before committing. Request a PayPal invoice or an invoice suited to your organization’s billing process. Follow the payment instructions and deadlines in the approved agreement.
Receive your authorized materials.
Once the agreement’s approval and payment requirements are met, receive the personalized PDF script and any other agreed materials. Share and reproduce them only within the permissions granted to your production.
Bring your cast together.
Keep your license and approved production details on hand. Contact Variety Plus before adding performances, changing dates, editing the material, or recording and distributing the show.
A note about streaming
Stage rights do not include streaming rights. If your audience will watch online, ask about a separate written arrangement before announcing or filming anything.
